APSI 300 Automatic Plastic Spiral Inserter & Finishing Machine Automatically inserts pre-cut lengths of spiral and simultaneously crimps both ends in a single operation. The APSI 300 Automatic Plastic Spiral Inserter binds up to 600 books per hour and accommodates pre-cut plastic spiral diameters from 6mm to 20mm. Diameters up to 30mm are available with the optional changeover kit. A built-in spiral sizing gauge helps the operator confirm the exact diameter required in relation to the book’s thickness. Vertical book placement allows for tabs or deeper covers to line up easily and bind accurately. In addition, a set of 15 spine formers are what the prepunched books sit on and correspond to the diameter of spiral being used. Spiral diameter setup and changeover is quick and accurate with the QSA (quick-size adjustment) lever and does not require tools. The APSI 300 measures 36" x 24" x 42" and is mounted on wheels for easy relocation.
