The Fastback® Hardcover Assembly Guide™ allows anyone to finish a hardcover book or photobook in seconds. It ensures consistent alignment of the book block with the Powis hardcover.
It's designed to be used as a part of:
- Powis' PhotoBook Production Cell™. The other two elements are the Splitter™ paper preparation system and the Fastback® 25 binding machine. The Cell’s innovative StitchFree™ technology allows you to firmly bind glossy paper to create archival quality hardcover photo books.
- The Fastback® Hardcover™ system. In concert with the Fastback 15xs or Fastback 8x binding machine, the Assembly Guide allows you to create bookstore-quality hardcover books in less than a minute.
These StitchFree™ innovations make true on-demand publishing available to everyone. Publishers can now offer any book they have ever printed on an as-needed basis. There are no remainder copies to worry about. Schools can let students create their own commercial-grade yearbooks. And, manufacturers can produce photo books without messy gluing, sewing or wire stitching.
The Fastback Hardcover line is also designed to work with the Foilfast® printer (for foil-printing covers) and the PowisPrinter® (for foil-printing spines). Both allow you to custom-print in up to seven dazzling foil colors.
This great product line also includes Fastback Hardcovers in a variety of materials and colors. Foilfast Title Sheets for applying foil-printed artwork to your covers and spines. And, endleaves for an even more polished finish.
